The North Florida Chapter’s Volunteer Spotlight Program

In an effort to celebrate and recognize volunteers for their hard work, dedication and commitment, the North Florida Chapter will select one volunteer a month to spotlight. Through this initiative, you will get to know members of our organization on a more personal level and you’ll get to hear what they’ve been doing to help further advance JDRF’s mission. The possibilities are endless and we’ve got a lot of treasured volunteers, so, this will be no easy task.

Join us in celebrating David Head and the advancements he’s helping make for JDRF and our mission to cure diabetes in this month’s Volunteer Spotlight!

David Head has been involved with JDRF for many years. His involvement with the North Florida Chapter started when he was an employee with PHH Mortgage company. David was a team captain for their corporate Walk team each year in honor of his brother, Steven, who has type 1 diabetes. In his spare time, David volunteered to keep up with JDRF North Florida’s local web site.

In 2007 David started his own Web Design company called
Gale Force Web Pros. Soon after establishing the business David came to JDRF and wanted to give back, yet again. David committed Gale Force Web Pros to be a Gold level partner with JDRF and to create an entire new web site for our local chapter where we could incorporate all the message points we wanted and have a little more freedom to “think outside the box.”

David and his team at Gale Force Web Pros have worked countless hours as volunteers to create this new site you see today! The JDRF North Florida Chapter is most appreciative for David and his team for helping us better communicate our message in a professional manner, further advance awareness and funding of diabetes and research.

David recently joined JDRF’s Board of Directors and we are so grateful and excited to have his partnership! Thanks to David and his team at Gale Force Web Pros.
