2009 Fund A Cure Program

What is Fund A Cure? JDRF offers individuals and companies the opportunity to make a direct contribution to help fund their outstanding research efforts toward a cure for diabetes. These contributions are 100% tax-deductible and are targeted for research. Fund A Cure donations made prior to the gala can serve as lead gifts announced by the Auctioneer. Fund A Cure gifts of $5,000 or more will be listed on the North Florida website and will be recognized by the Gala Auctioneer during the Fund A Cure portion of the evening. All donors committing to fund this program prior to the gala will be listed in the program journal. Any requests for anonymity will be honored. Donors do not have to be present at the Gala to make a Fund A Cure Donation.

Fund A Cure Auction at the Miracles in the Moonlight Gala

This portion of the gala evening occurs directly after the Live Auction and is prefaced by remarks from a JDRF Ambassador, who will speak about living with diabetes. The Auctioneer will then announce the funding levels at which guests may raise their bid cards to make a direct donation to research. Those guests who pre-commit to a Fund A Cure donation can choose to have their gift announced by the Auctioneer, or they may raise their bid cards to motivate others at their table to also make donations.
